After twenty-two years of mastering physical trade, Lockman recognized that digital transformation was the key to scaling the Group's integrated model globally. The launch of BestSuppliers.com was a strategic pivot—not away from traditional expertise, but a technological evolution of it.

The Beginning: Entering Foreign Trade

Lockman Wang began his career in international trade during China's rapid economic transformation. Starting as a junior trader, he quickly mastered the intricacies of cross-border commerce during China's export boom period.

Amid the global financial crisis, Lockman identified opportunity in market dislocation and founded his first trading company:

The launch of key subsidiaries like Sunny Smile, Good Moon, and January Import and Export diversified our product expertise, while the establishment of BestSuppliers (Hong Kong) strengthened our international finance and trade capabilities.

Critically, we embedded our promise locally by opening over 15 operational centers across Africa and Asia—including in Ghana, Kenya, Egypt, Nigeria, Zambia, and Uzbekistan. This massive investment in owned infrastructure in 2021-2022 transformed our model from being in these markets to being of these markets.

From 2023 to 2025, we methodically extended our owned infrastructure into key strategic corridors and solidified our corporate standing, transforming regional presence into proven, on-the-ground reliability.

  • In 2023, we strengthened our Middle Eastern and Central African networks with operational centers in Iran, Gabon, and Burundi, while launching Hangzhou Kingfrica to deepen category-specific sourcing expertise.
  • The 2024 expansion into Liberia, Togo, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and South Africa represented a deliberate move to connect emerging trade corridors, offering clients stability in complex markets.
